Overview

PairIQ LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PairIQ handles information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We have designed PairIQ with privacy as a foundation — the majority of your personal data never leaves your device. Where we do collect data, it is anonymous, never linked to you as an individual, and used solely to improve the app.

PairIQ has no user accounts. We never ask for your name or email address to use the App.

1 Information We Collect

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

PairIQ stores the following information exclusively on your device using local device storage (AsyncStorage). This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:

• Meal history — foods you have analyzed, including meal scores and timestamps

• Saved meals — meals you have manually saved for future reference

• Favorite foods — foods you have marked as favorites

• Recent searches — foods you have recently searched for

• Health preferences — your selected diet type and health goal

• Supplement information — supplements you have indicated you take

App preferences — display settings such as dark mode

Your meal history is stored on your device and is not uploaded. The single exception is the AI Weekly Coach, which sends derived weekly scores rather than your meals, and only if you turn it on.

Anonymous Analytics Data

PairIQ collects anonymous usage analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve the user experience. This data is collected through PostHog, a privacy-focused analytics platform. The following types of anonymous interaction data may be collected:

• App feature interactions — such as which tabs are visited, foods searched, meals analyzed, and features used

• Food search terms — the names of foods searched within the app

• Meal composition data — number of foods in a meal and meal grade received

• Subscription events — whether a subscription was initiated or viewed

Onboarding completion — whether and how onboarding was completed

This analytics data is:

• Completely anonymous — not linked to your name, email, device ID, or any personally identifiable information

• Not used for advertising or marketing purposes

• Not sold or shared with third parties beyond PostHog's infrastructure

• Not used for cross-app tracking

In-App Purchase Data

When you purchase a PairIQ Pro subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. PairIQ uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status. Neither PairIQ nor RevenueCat has access to your payment card information. RevenueCat may process a pseudonymous device-level identifier to verify subscription status. 2 Information We Do Not Collect

PairIQ does not collect, transmit, store, or share:

• Your name, email address, or any account information

• Your location data

• Device advertising identifiers

• Biometric data

• Personal health records

Any information through third-party advertising networks

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We do not use your data for targeted advertising and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3 Food and Nutrition Database

PairIQ accesses a nutritional food database hosted on Supabase to power the app's pairing intelligence. When you open the app, it downloads this food data to your device. This database contains only general nutritional information about foods — it contains no personal user data. The food database is read-only and does not receive any data from your device. 4 AI Weekly Coach

If you turn on the AI Weekly Coach, PairIQ sends a summary of that week to Anthropic PBC, which operates the Claude AI service, so it can write your weekly read.

What is sent: your average absorption scores for the week, your per-day scores, how many days you logged, the week label, your selected diet, and your health goal in a generalised form. Health goals that name a sensitive topic are replaced with a non-specific value before they leave your device.

What is never sent: your meals, the names of foods you have eaten, your saved meals, your supplement list, your name, or your email. PairIQ does not hold the last two at all.

This feature is off until you switch it on. You are asked once, inside the app, before anything is sent. Declining leaves every other part of PairIQ working normally.

Anthropic processes this data only to generate the summary. See anthropic.com/privacy.

5 Data Sources

Where product data comes from:

Product information for scanned barcodes comes from Open Food Facts, an open database made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Product photographs are made available under CC-BY-SA. When you scan a product, its barcode is sent to Open Food Facts to look it up. Nutrient composition data comes from USDA FoodData Central, which is public domain.

6 How We Use Information

We use locally stored data solely to:

• Display your meal history and saved meals within the app

• Personalize food suggestions based on your selected diet and health goal

• Calculate supplement timing recommendations

Track your absorption score trends in the History tab

We use anonymous analytics data solely to:

• Understand which features are most useful

• Identify and fix bugs or usability issues

Improve the overall app experience

We do not use any data for advertising, marketing, or profiling.

7 Automated Processing

PairIQ's absorption scores and suggestions are generated automatically by software applying published nutritional research to the foods you enter. This processing happens on your device and involves no human review. It produces general nutritional information only, and does not make any decision that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

8 Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with any third party.

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — hosts the nutritional food database. Receives no personal user data. supabase.com/privacy

• PostHog — anonymous analytics platform. Receives only the anonymous usage data described in Section 1. posthog.com/privacy

RevenueCat — subscription management. Processes pseudonymous subscription status data. revenuecat.com/privacy

Apple App Store — processes all subscription payments. Apple's privacy policy applies to all payment transactions.

Anthropic PBC — generates the AI Weekly Coach summary. Receives weekly nutrition scores, diet and a generalised health goal. Only when you have enabled the feature.

Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — crash and error diagnostics. Receives technical information when the app crashes or encounters an error: the type of error, the code location, your app version, iOS version and device model. Personal and health information is removed before anything is sent.

Open Food Facts — receives the barcode number when you scan a packaged product, in order to return that product's information.

We may disclose information only if required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PairIQ or others. Since we do not collect personally identifiable data on our servers, we have no user data to disclose in most circumstances.

Business transfers. If PairIQ LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, any data we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will post notice of any such change on this page.

9 Data Retention and Deletion

Local data is retained on your device until you delete it. PairIQ provides in-app tools:

• Clear meal history — removes all logged meals

Reset all data — permanently deletes all app data including meal history, saved meals, favorites, and preferences

Access these under Profile → Data & Privacy. Uninstalling the app also deletes all locally stored data.

Anonymous analytics data is retained by PostHog for up to 12 months. Crash diagnostics are retained by Sentry for up to 90 days.

Deleting your data. Profile → Data & Privacy clears everything stored on your device. To request deletion of analytics data associated with your device, email info@pairiqapp.com. Because PairIQ has no accounts, please send the request from the device in question so we can identify the records.

10 Crash Reporting

When PairIQ crashes or hits an unexpected error, a diagnostic report is sent to Sentry so the problem can be found and fixed.

What is sent: the error type, the code location where it happened, your app version, your iOS version, your device model (for example "iPhone14,2"), and, on some crashes, the name your device is registered under. Device names are chosen by you in iOS settings and may in some cases include your first name; we do not use these names to identify you and they are discarded with the report.

What is never sent: your meals, the names of foods you have logged, your health goal, your diet, your saved meals, your supplement list, or any error text that could contain them. Error messages are replaced with a placeholder unless they are one of a small number of known technical messages that cannot contain personal information.

These reports are automatic and cannot currently be turned off. They contain no health information.

11 Security

Personal data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's built-in security including encryption and passcode protection. Anonymous analytics data transmitted to PostHog is encrypted in transit using TLS. We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a secure passcode.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting personal information we hold, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by applicable law.

12 Children's Privacy

PairIQ is not directed at children under the age of 13 in the United States or under the age of 16 in the European Economic Area. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under these ages. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at info@pairiqapp.com and we will delete it.

13 Health and Medical Disclaimer

PairIQ provides nutritional pairing information based on peer-reviewed nutritional science for general informational and educational purposes only.

• PairIQ is not a medical device

• PairIQ does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition

• Supplement timing suggestions are general guidance only and are not personalized medical recommendations

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet or supplement regimen, particularly if you have a medical condition

PairIQ is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA, and the information you enter in the App is not protected health information under that law.

14 Your Privacy Rights

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected about you

• Request deletion of your personal information

• Request correction of inaccurate personal information

• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share personal information)

• Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information beyond providing the App)

Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Since PairIQ stores personal data locally on your device and our analytics data is anonymous and not linked to you, you have direct control over your data at all times through the in-app deletion tools described in Section 9.

European and UK Users (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing anonymous analytics data is our legitimate interest in improving the app (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where you enable the AI Weekly Coach, our legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time by turning the feature off.

Analytics data is anonymous and not linked to any identified or identifiable natural person, and therefore may fall outside the scope of GDPR personal data requirements. To the extent any such data constitutes personal data under applicable law, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

All Users

To submit any privacy request, contact us at info@pairiqapp.com. We will respond within 30 days, or within 45 days where permitted by California law. We may need to ask you to send the request from the device in question, since PairIQ has no accounts and no other way to identify your records.

15 International Data Transfers

PairIQ LLC operates from the United States. Anonymous analytics data processed by PostHog, crash diagnostics processed by Sentry, and AI Weekly Coach summaries processed by Anthropic may be transferred to and stored in the United States. Where required, these providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms. For more information, see posthog.com/privacy, sentry.io/privacy, and anthropic.com/privacy.

16 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, where the change is significant, provide notice in the App. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
